Projection hypothesis check
When a strong reaction may include older material—but the other person and their real behavior do not disappear from the picture.

Projection may appear only as HYPOTHESIS_ONLY after facts and external reality are preserved.
When it fits

How to read this scene
External reality
Separately ask: is there actual lying, boundary crossing, incompatibility, or harm?
Only then—a hypothesis
Projection may be considered only as HYPOTHESIS_ONLY and must face counterevidence. Strong emotion is not proof.
Small practice
Make three columns: FACT / MY STORY / UNKNOWN. Then separately write one external boundary that still matters regardless of any inner hypothesis.
A relationship Council only fits after facts and external boundaries are preserved; it is not allowed to declare another person a screen for your psyche.
