Modern Charm Casting is separated from older lot-casting and object-divination relatives. OmenHall exposes the provenance of each technique and does not present culturally specific systems as a universal charm set.
Free-form casting of small personal or symbolic objects in its current Western form has no single ancient canon. Set meanings, surface, and reading rules must be declared before the cast.
Lots, dice, and object-divination ensembles are historically attested, but Chokwe ngombo, Edo ewawa, Ifa, and other culturally specific systems remain distinct traditions. They are not renamed as generic Charm Casting.
Each consultation stores the technologyId and policy version before objects are chosen: Open Field, OmenHall Four-Zone Map, Focus Significator, Physical Reconstruction, or Charm Draw.
Charms pair with Symbols, Geomancy, Runes, Ogham, and Oracle Cards, but keep object grammar: object and zone first, counsel second.
