To overtake Lenormand, Playing Cards must separate OmenHall modern product architecture (52/36/32) from source-bound historical technologies. Card count alone does not identify a tradition.

BnF confirms the 1770 Alliette/Etteilla edition, while Internet Archive exact-scan OCR forms a source-bound semantic corpus of 220 technical rules / 218 independent meanings. Both No.1 no-meaning rows now have direct 1770 OCR support; Heart Ace has structured OCR support for Mars / Table extraordinaire; and Spade Ten retains the exact-OCR Fleurs/Pleurs conflict, with the visually inspected 1773 authorial revision supporting Pleurs pending direct 1770 page review. The 1770 text also closes an important procedural layer: in the Coup de douze the twelve counted cards are placed one by one in post-cut order, then the thirteenth card and the bottom card of the remaining talon speak; in the second coup, 27 cards form three nines, the last six go to Néant, and the logical slot route is 1-19-10, 2-20-11 ... 9-27-18. A visually inspected authorial 1773 revision corroborates the first-coup structure and resolves the second-route OCR ambiguity. The research evaluator may expose these source-bound textual/logical contracts, but it may not present the exact printed coordinates of the 1770 diagrams as proven. Exact 1770 internal pages and spatial parity still require direct visual adjudication.
NÉB/RSL confirms the 62-page manual. The page-numbered transcription now structures all 36 base card headings, not a handful of examples: six through ace in four suits, triplet search for the representative, sixteen cards in eight spatial zones, and a separate five-card heart layer. Direction applies only to specific central-pip cards. The little reading remains blocked: a literal take-one/skip-three cadence after removing the significator yields 9 selected cards + the significator = 10, while the text also states a 4×3 = 12-card field.
The 1782 edition is bibliographically confirmed, while modern scholarship places it in a different, bibliomantic family: a card could select one of several book answers rather than merely carry one intrinsic universal meaning. That is a crucial lead, not an activation license; OmenHall still requires direct 1782/1785 page comparison before defining the runtime method.
Eight distinct Foli procedures are now fixtured, but the year embedded in legacy profile IDs is treated only as a compatibility label. Catalogs show a Diehl/Landau/Pettit witness around 1900 and a separate D. McKay 1915 edition, while Sacred Texts transcribes an R. P. Fenno title page with no printed date. These belong to one work family, not one proven edition identity. The direct PDF text layer of the early BPL witness confirms the Italy-labeled ending as five packs (3/3/3/3/2) plus a separate Consolation; this environment could not capture the page screenshot, so no visual claim is made.
The compilation documents multiple 52-card methods and a separate 32-card oracle. It explicitly requires stable top/bottom where reversal changes meaning. Its ancient, Arab, or Romany lineage language is stored as source rhetoric rather than proven fact.

OmenHall preserves the procedure but rejects the Robert Antrobus 1735 frame; provenance research cites an 1897 Harper's review calling the system Stevenson's invention.
