Early Philippe witness family · product-level collation
OmenHall no longer treats the later German transcription as the exact Coblenz 1846 text. The product corpus uses a visually inspected historical English printed sheet as its adjudicated textual witness while retaining the German side as a variant witness. Material differences are exposed rather than averaged. Neither witness supplies a numeric Near/Far radius.
Adjudicated text witness
A complete printed 36-card instruction sheet has been visually inspected as a historical scan witness. It supports the cut, 8×4+4, 28/29, and the complete rule family. But it is a later American printed lineage—not a verified first Coblenz 1846 copy.
Variant witness
The complete German transcription is retained for collation. Its own witness page warns that this German side probably belongs to a later bilingual/American transmission and differs in places from the earlier textual lineage.
Status: product content/logic is adjudicated and frozen at 36/36 rules. 10 material divergences and 3 source-ambiguous rules remain explicit. This is NOT an academic critical edition of the first 1846 issue: an institution-grade first-edition scan remains an external research task. Automated historical reading remains fail-closed for qualitative Near/Far conditions.

The English Lilies paragraph itself contains a locally reversed 28/29 parenthetical that contradicts the sheet’s general significator rule; OmenHall follows the general rule and records this printing anomaly.
