OmenHall first records the technology, name role, alphabet, reduction/master policy, and civil date. The formula is then deterministic, while a separate lab shows why Balliett, Campbell, and Cheiro can legitimately produce different results.

Search uses OmenHall's local GeoNames cities500 copy, CC BY 4.0. No metered external geocoder is called for each search. GeoNames
Precise place coordinates (advanced)
Coordinates are needed for exact houses, angles, and synastry overlays. They are not fetched again for every calculation: OmenHall stores the resolved place in the Person Passport. The local GeoNames gazetteer supplies coordinates and IANA timezone without a paid API; manual entry remains a fallback for rare places.
Without sign-in, data is not saved: you can use a one-time profile. After sign-in, Me and Saved Person become available.
Check birth date, question date, and name spelling. Unsupported letters are no longer dropped silently.

A technology-bound engine: Modern Western V2 calculates life path, birthday, expression, soul urge, personality, and calendar cycles, while Balliett/Campbell/Cheiro remain separate reproducible comparison technologies.

Modern Western, Balliett 1908, Campbell 1931, and Cheiro are computed as distinct technologies with their own sources, alphabets, name doctrines, and reduction policies. Historical systems never inherit modern formulas without direct source authority.

A name is calculated only inside the selected technology: Modern Western can use the declared name role, Campbell requires the full birth name, and Cheiro uses the name by which the person is most known.

Soul Urge is not a universal ancient layer: it belongs to the modern-Western/Campbell lineage and uses the selected technology's vowel policy. In Campbell, W/Y are contextual and are never guessed by software.

Expression is a technology-bound name layer. Campbell calculates the full birth name by components before combining them; Cheiro uses a different name-number doctrine and never inherits this label automatically.
